Three Decades of Making Things Work.
The industries have changed. The work has not.
Thirty-Three Years of Building What Others Couldn’t
The Coterie Group was founded on a simple principle: when the right structure doesn’t exist, build it.
Since 1993, we have worked across payments, banking, real estate, and technology — consistently operating where complexity, fragmentation, or lack of infrastructure prevented capital from flowing efficiently.
We have never approached markets as they are.
We approach them as they need to be.
Over more than three decades, this has meant:
- Developing one of the earliest online commercial directories in Canada, anticipating the shift to digital commerce
- Creating gold-backed debit card systems before alternative currencies were widely understood
- Structuring and funding real estate transactions across multiple jurisdictions
- Designing systems that bring clarity and execution discipline to fragmented capital markets
The industries have changed.
The principle has not.
We identify gaps in infrastructure — and we build the frameworks required to solve them.
Today, that same approach is reflected in our current platforms:
- Meridian36 — structured residential ownership in Southern Europe
- CapitalOS — infrastructure for private credit and capital deployment
These are not standalone ventures.
They are extensions of a long-standing philosophy:
better systems lead to better outcomes.
Our Structure
The Coterie Group operates through a cross-border structure designed to support international execution:
- The Coterie Group Inc. (Canada) — Established 1993
- The Coterie Group S.L. (Spain) — Established 2023
This structure allows us to originate, structure, and operate across jurisdictions while maintaining alignment between capital and execution.

Chris J. Gallant
Founder & CEO, The Coterie Group
Chris brings over three decades of experience across financial services, real estate, and platform development. His work has consistently focused on solving structural inefficiencies — not by adapting to limitations, but by removing them.
“For over three decades, I’ve worked in markets where the problem wasn’t capital — it was structure. The opportunity has always been the same: build what’s missing, and everything else follows.”
The Coterie Group is not a traditional advisory firm.
We design and build the infrastructure that allows capital to move with clarity, discipline, and purpose.
